Digital & Clinical Systems Administrator - Cheviot Road & Shirley Avenue Surgery

To be responsible for managing and overseeing the quality of all data within the clinical system. To ensure regular audit and interrogation of the data, with the aim of maximising partnership income through the Quality & Outcomes Framework (QOF), Enhanced Services and IIF. To support IT project developments and Improvements.  To identify and support the improvement of systems in the practice. To ensure Resource publisher documents and forms are up to date

To be responsible for the day-to-day functionality of the organisation’s IT systems, undertaking a wide range of IT systems management duties in support of the multidisciplinary team.

Duties can include but are not limited to, leading the running of patient searches and requested reporting data, administration of databases, user accounts, housekeeping, upgrades, general queries and transformation and development projects.

In addition, the post holder will be required to provide support the multidisciplinary team, maintain the organisation’s IT infrastructure, provide support to the team, ensure all issues are resolved or escalated in a timely manner and provide local training as necessary whilst ensuring all issues are resolved or escalated in a timely manner.

Main Duties & responsibilities

  • To support the practice with IT related queries and issues arising on the day.
  • To support the induction of new staff with system support.
  • To Ensure performance with QOF is maximised with regular meetings with the GP QoF lead and management team. Providing lists searches and updates for the GPs.
  • To perform system audits to ensure joiners and leavers processes are followed.
  • To create and update protocols for systems including patient proxy access procedures. Patient access, online bookings, accurx templates, resource publisher templates.
  • To Ensure all Ardens templates and documents are up to date
  • To perform regular Housekeeping of Clinical systems data
  • To support the practice with the workflow of documents and results as needed.
  • To monthly family and friends results, collate and share the data in a meaning way
  • To assist with seasonal health campaigns including Flu and covid, and RSV.
  • To assist the assistant manager in preparing Monthly reports
  • Support the coordination team to develop recall protocols and systems.
  • Develop induction and training packages for clinical systems using EMIS NOW and other resources for new and existing staff.
  • Support ordering and stock of the surgery
  • To Facilitate changes to the surgery website in accordance with compliance and audit reports and feedback.
