Salaried GP - James Fisher Medical Centre
James Fisher Medical Centre is seeking a Salaried GP to join our team, working between 4 and 8 sessions across the week.
We are a well-established and successful practice with 12,500 patients and we are part of the Bournemouth Central Primary Care Network.
Our team includes 5 GP Partners and 4 Salaried GPs, Practice Nurses, Phlebotomists and a Health Care Assistant. We currently have 2 Advanced Practitioners who will be moving on at the end of August. Our clinical team all work alongside our excellent reception and administration teams, as well as Central Bournemouth Primary Care Network staff, some of whom hold sessions within the practice.
We have a relatively young population for Bournemouth with lots of families and only a small number of care homes.
All GPs work a proportionate share of duty and general GP sessions and we’re always looking for ways to improve.
We use Systmone and all GP appointment requests are triaged by the duty GP team to ensure that patients are seen by the right member of the primary care team, with urgent requests being prioritised.
Our telephone appointments are 10 minutes and face to face appointments are 15 minutes. Our patients use Systmconnect to request a GP appointment.
We have large, purpose built premises in a beautiful area of the south coast with close by riverside walks that can be accessed a short walk from the surgery during lunch times.
We actively support training and development, receiving medical students and GP registrars; many of whom have come back to work at the surgery.
Salary will be competitive and in accordance with the rest of the Salaried GP team and we’d welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified GPs.
We will support special interests and there may be the opportunity to take on additional sessions within the network if a candidate was interested in developing more diversity within their working week.
