We have a friendly and supportive team of more than 200 staff, with over 40 GPs, Pharmacists, Paramedics, Nurses, Mental Health specialists and our range of administrative staff. - Parkstone Tower Practice
We are seeking an experienced Salaried GP – Care Home, will provide personal medical services, managing a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. They will also aid in the support in the management of patients with long-term conditions.
Based at our Poole Road Medical Centre in Bournemouth on a Permanent, Part-time basis. The successful post holder will undertake an enhanced DBS check and be subject to pre-employment checks.
Job Summary
This post requires the holder to have an excellent understanding of and identification with the ethos of Shore Medical and to demonstrate this in their professional behaviour and their dealings with the public. The post holder is directly responsible to the Clinical Services Manager for all organisational and administrative issues and the Partners for all clinical issues.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide a full range of medical services as defined in the core GMS contract and additional enhanced services where appropriate for a GP Care Home Ware Round. This will include responsibility for tasks, letters, bloods, med 3, private medicals pertaining to your own list.
- In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
- To record clear and contemporaneous computer-based consultation notes to agreed standards using System 1
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
