Practice Manager Supporter - Jayne Tabor

Hi, I’m Jayne. I am officially a ‘retired’ practice manager, but it doesn’t often feel like it! Although I retired in 2017, I have ‘kept my hand in’ through constant contact with my peers, working with the RCGP Primary Care Development team, consultancy work and continuing my role as a LMC PM Supporter - and more recently a spell working in a PCN comprising of 3 ‘merged’ practices.

I have been in general practice since 1983, so have seen a huge amount of change in my career! Most of my career was spent in the New Forest at The Arnewood Practice (19yrs), Chawton House Surgery (9yrs) and New Forest Central Medical Group (4yrs). During these years I managed several practice refurbishments and a new build project, along with all the usual aspects of general practice. I don’t pretend to be an expert but do have a lot of experience.

I have a keen interest in training and development and especially in peer appraisal for practice managers.

I’m happy to chat / listen to any problems / concerns, large or small, either face to face over a coffee, on the telephone or via Teams / Zoom or e-mail.
