Common mental health problems - We are aware of a tsunami of mental health in our whole population but particularly in young people. This session will cover common mental health problems, how to safely and confidently assess and first responses that work in that consultation. How to meet your teens where they are. Covering all kinds of anxiety from OCD to social anxiety and generalised anxiety and low mood. What kind of questions to ask and what to look for – how to decide if just signposting or if they reach the CAMHS threshold. Cognisant of our limits with our 10 minute consultation times. We will share approaches and resources that work.
