Chaperone Training

Chaperone Training

About this Lunch & Learn

This training resource looks at the role of the chaperone, it’s importance and the practice policies in regard to chaperoning. The chaperone is present to support the patient and the clinician – hence the image of the team of 3. CQC are very keen to know how practices deal with chaperones in their practice as it is a question of patient safety.

There are real examples in the presentation to encourage discussion and re-enforce the learning.

By the end of the training, all attending should be aware of the importance of the chaperone, how to act as or with one and the practice should have a timescale to develop a practice policy, if there is not already one in place.  This resource has been updated to reflect the use of video consultations.

Certificates of attendance are provided as part of the package, and don’t forget to log your learning points & reflections as part of your CPD. CQC are particularly keen to see any evidence of your learning and how you apply it.

We welcome any feedback from you and your staff when you have run any of our Lunch and Learn training resources.
