LMC Campaign to help Practices Bulletin 2 - DNAs and how patients can help us

The LMC is frequently contacted by GPs and Practice Managers who are frustrated by the number of patient who DNA.  

It has been estimated that practices experience DNA rates of anything between 2% and 8%.  Is there anything you can do to reduce this rate?

This Bulletin focuses on "getting the most out of your appointments". 

It provides some useful tips around managing DNAs, as the length of time patients have to wait for an appointment is a topical issue for most practices. 

It also provides tips for patients to help them get the most from their appointment.  

You might wish to copy this section and use it in your practice newsletter, add to you practice website, add to your practice Twitter or Facebook page, add to your waiting room TV screen, create a poster or simply print a simple leaflet and place this in the waiting room.
