Blossom Health Gosport are expanding their nursing team and are looking to recruit a phlebotomist for 16hrs per week. You will be required to work 8hrs per day on Monday’s & Friday’s and will be entitled to five weeks holiday and access to the NHS Pension Scheme.

Located on the ground floor of Gosport War Memorial Hospital we are a well-established and friendly practice recently rated good across all areas by CQC.

Responsibilities

• Perform venepunctures and collect blood samples from patients, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Utilise aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during sample collection.
• Maintain accurate records of patient information and specimen collection.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper labelling and handling of samples.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in phlebotomy is essential.
• Must have undertaken a recognised training course.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach towards patient care.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
