Maternity / Bank Treatment Room Nurse - Park and St Francis Surgery
We are seeking a dedicated Maternity / Bank Treatment Room Nurse to provide high-quality care within our treatment room at Park and St Francis Surgery. This role involves supporting patients with a variety of clinical procedures, ensuring comfort, safety, and excellent patient experience. The position offers flexible hours to suit your availability and is ideal for nurses looking to gain valuable experience in a primary care setting on a temporary or ad hoc basis. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering compassionate care and maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.
Duties
- Deliver patient care in the treatment room, including wound care, injections, vaccinations, and other clinical procedures
- Assist with routine examinations, monitoring vital signs, and performing assessments
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, in line with practice protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans
- Collaborate with GPs, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care
- Educate patients on minor procedures, self-care, and health promotion
- Ensure the treatment room is clean, organised, and fully stocked at all times
- Adhere strictly to infection control procedures and health and safety regulations
Experience
- Proven experience as a registered nurse, preferably with treatment room or primary care experience
- Experience in patient care, demonstrating compassion and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in record keeping and clinical procedures
Requirements
- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or equivalent regulatory body
- Flexibility to work on a maternity cover or bank basis
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care
