GP Partner – Do Things Differently In West Dorset - Ammonite Health Partnership
Tired of firefighting 10-minute appointments and having no real say in how general practice is run?
This is your chance to step up, shape things, and actually enjoy being a GP again.
We’re looking for a GP Partner to join our ambitious, grounded, and genuinely supportive team serving 24,500 patients across three sites in West Dorset.
Who We Are
We’re not a faceless organisation or a struggling practice on the edge. We’re stable, collaborative, and evolving—big enough to innovate, small enough to care.
- 24,500 patients across three well-organised sites
- Experienced, down-to-earth GP team
- Strong MDT: ACPs, paramedic, nurses, pharmacists, ARRS roles who actually make a difference
- GP Training practice
- Dispensing from two sites
- Leadership that listens—and acts
- A practice that’s moving forward, not standing still
Why This Role Stands Out
This isn’t just a seat at the table—it’s a voice that matters.
As a Partner, you’ll:
- Help shape clinical strategy and how care is delivered
- Influence workload, systems, and culture
- Develop your own interests without jumping through hoops
- Be part of decisions that actually stick
We’re open to new ideas, new models, and new ways of working—and we want someone who’s up for that.
What You’ll Get
- A realistic, sustainable workload (yes, really)
- A supportive partnership that has your back
- The chance to build something you’re proud of
- And let’s not forget… West Dorset
Location Perks
Think less traffic, more coastline.
Swap gridlock for sea air, and burnout for balance. West Dorset offers a rare combination of professional challenge and quality of life—without compromise.
Who You Are
- A qualified GP (GMC registered, NHS Performers List)
- Someone who wants more than just a job
- Keen to influence, improve, and lead
- Grounded, proactive, and up for a bit of change
