Deputy Practice Manager - Harcourt Medical Centre
Deputy Practice Manager
Band 6 equivalent – £35,392 – £42,618 based on experience.
We are looking for a positive an self-motivated individual to help lead our NHS practice team.
Our current practice manager has indicated she would like to retire in 4 years, we would therefore see a prolonged and supported period of training and development with the objective of taking over as lead.
This is not to say that the right applicant would not have the autonomy and freedom to improve and drive things forward for the practice, especially from a contractual and strategic viewpoint.
NHS general practice has never been more like a small business, the current government contracts are increasingly difficult with many contractual targets and obligations placed upon primary care.
The successful applicant would have good IT skills, the ability to analyse and map out ways of managing contract work and patient demand.
A typical applicant would have an established background in managing people, both day-to-day as well as having a strategic perspective on running a business.
