hore Medical is a GP Super Partnership with six practices across Poole and Bournemouth. We have a friendly and supportive team of more than 200 staff, with over 40 GP’s, Pharmacists, Paramedics, Nurses, Mental Health specialists and our range of administrative staff. The Opportunity
Shore Medical is seeking a Deputy Manager to join the team on a 12 month Fixed Term basis. This role works across all six Shore practices with the base being at Heatherview Medical Centre, Alder Hills.
The Deputy Manager supports the Senior Management team focusing on day-to-day operability of the practices and premises, compliance, championing change and efficiency improvements, Confidentiality, Data Protection, Collaborative Working, Service Delivery, Learning and Development and promoting a positive working environment. It is essential that you have proven experience in a similar GP practice.
Job Type: Fixed Term- 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (between the hours of 8.00am and 5.30pm)
Hourly Rate: £15.60 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Commitment to supporting the delivery of excellent patient care with vision, willingness, and drive
- Support the effective management of patient access, appointments and complaints
- Assist with the smooth running of the practices, ensuring effective systems and processes
- Investigate and respond to patient concerns in line with practice policies
- Promote and demonstrate excellent organisational, effective communication skills and staff wellbeing between patients, doctors, and other staff
- Deputising for the senior management team during holiday periods or as and when required
- Support training, development and succession planning
- Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve efficiency, quality and staff engagement
- Ability to manage and advocate change through motivation and leadership.
- To support the Management Team in providing leadership and management of the non-clinical practice teams
- To support in overseeing the provision of cleaning, facilities, maintenance and service management
- Premises management, health and safety compliance and equipment maintenance
- Monitoring the mandatory training for all staff has been completed.
- Work collaboratively with the other Deputy Manager on complaints, ensuring that the complaints process is followed in full and drafting accurate responses to patients within the structured timeframes
- To support the senior management team in ensuring the practices meet the necessary standards for audits, inspections, and action plans

Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role supporting a Senior Leadership team in a busy Primary Care setting- ideally across multiple practices
- Demonstrable expertise across a wide range of daily practice operations
- Ability to work across all six practices (Driving Licence required)
- Excellent communication skills, including strong problem solving abilities
- Confidence in deputising for senior management during their annual leave/absence
