4-6 Session Salaried GP - St. Andrew’s Surgery

St. Andrew’s Surgery in Eastleigh has an exciting opportunity for a 4-6 session salaried GP to join our team from May 2024. The post will ideally be working 6 sessions on any day other than Tuesdays. As part of this role, you will have a designated duty day and hold a patient list. There is opportunity for partnership for the right candidate in the future.

At St Andrew’s, we value our team and have a strong team ethos. We offer a supportive and encouraging environment in which we aim to train, equip, and provide a working environment where staff can flourish, pursue areas of work that interest them and work to their strengths. We are a training practice and are committed to providing excellent development to the future of general practice.

We are a traditional GP Practice that is focused on patient centred care with an emphasis on practicing safe and quality medicine. Our aim is to provide easy access for patients and maximise use of additional services through effective signposting whilst embracing technological innovations that help make our work smarter. Our Duty days are well managed, and we work hard to provide good appointment availability that helps keep routine waits down.

Due to our PCN paramedics, we offer low home visit rates. We have engineered a robust and streamlined administration system which filters out unnecessary admin. We rarely use e-consult, so clinician time is spent treating and seeing patients.

Situated in the town of Eastleigh, we provide healthcare a list of around 12750 patients. Our demographic is varied so we offer a full range of NHS services. Our patients care and well-being is at the fore front of our practice strategy, and this has helped to secure our position as the highest rated practice in Eastleigh Borough in the 2023 GP Patient Survey. We are rated as ‘good’ by the CQC.

An excellent work life balance is an essential part of what makes St Andrew’s a successful practice. When you leave for the evening or the weekend, we want that time to be precious; to be yours. Daily joint coffee breaks and an open-door policy give all members of the team a sustainable and rewarding environment to work in. We take pride in our work and recognise the importance and responsibility of our role in the community.
