Wessex LMCs will be holding a series of four evening Roadshows, hosted by
Dr Nigel Watson and the LMC Directors across the patch, covering the following key areas:
The NHS Long Term plan was published recently with the commitment to increase investment in primary and community care by £4.5bn by 2024.
There have been a number of new initiatives announced, including primary care networks and significant investment to increase the primary care workforce.
The GP Partnership Review reported to the Secretary of State looking at proposals to address partnership risk, workload, workforce and the status of general practice. These recommendations have been well received by Government, NHS England and the profession.
The third bit of the jigsaw is the GP contract which will address Indemnity, QoF and primary care networks expanding the workforce.
All of the above means that 2019 will prove to be an important year for General Practice. If you want to learn more about your future come to one of the LMC Roadshows. . .
