Introduction

Aims:

  • Spot the signs and symptoms of low energy or burnout
  • Understand what to do for yourself or your staff
  • Immediate Strategies and when to refer on

Objectives

After attending this session, delegates will be able to recognise signs and symptoms of low energy or burnout in themselves and/or colleagues

Ellie Brooks

Ellie has worked with South Coast Fatigue for almost 10 years.  Prior to this she worked as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting working age adults with neurological conditions such as stroke, MND, Parkinsons’s and spinal cord injury.  Ellie’s role at South Coast Fatigue is to assess both physical and cognitive function and work with the client, their family and other agencies and employers to develop rehab programmes that focus on meaningful occupation, including work. Ellie uses her skills as an Occupational Therapist to promote effective rehabilitation and return to work programmes for people experiencing fatigue and low energy.

Fran Hill

Fran is an advanced practitioner occupational therapist and established South Coast Fatigue in 2009.  She has over 25 years’ experience working in the both the NHS and private practice, with clients who have low energy and fatigue.

Fran particularly enjoys working with other independent specialists designing and supporting rehabilitation programmes for complex cases, where low energy and fatigue might be a barrier to a successful outcome.

Fran holds the annually revalidated CDMP, is trained in CBTi, following the R.E.S.T programme and holds a clinical caseload alongside the day to day running of the practice

All GPs and members of staff working within GP practices in the Wessex LMCs’ catchment area

This option is for everyone working in a Practice in the Wessex LMC catchment area that do not fit into one of the other options on offer.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight - AHPs & Nurses 

We are delighted that NHS South East have agreed to fund this course for all AHPs & members of the Nursing Team working in Practices in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. To access this price you must be an AHP or member of the Nursing Team working in a Practice in Hampshire (excluding North East Hants) or the Isle of Wight

Waiting List

Please be advised there are spaces available on this course unless it states otherwise. If a course is full you will be given the option to book on the waiting list. If you are on the waiting list and a place becomes available, you will be notified automatically you do NOT need to contact Wessex LMCs. 

Refunds

All delegate fees are non-refundable, however, if it has been agreed that a refund is possible, it will be subject to an administration charge of £5 for fees of £100 or less, or £10 for fees more than £100.
