This training will be run over Zoom. To participate you will need to install Zoom on your device, and ensure it is has a microphone, speaker, and camera. Please Note: Some trainers will no longer allow you to stay on the call if you do not have your camera operating.

To participate you will need a device capable of running Zoom, that also has a microphone and speaker, a camera is beneficial but not essential.


Darren Kehoe from Kraft HR Consulting Ltd will lead this session.  Darren will be joined by Jane Dawes, one of our PM Supporters who will assist the session by making it practical and relevant to life on the ground in a GP Surgery


During the session we will be looking at:

  • The law on delivering fair disciplinary investigations.
  • Roles in the investigation and disciplinary process.
  • Collecting, collating, and sharing information
  • Recording of meetings
  • The role of the trade union rep
  • Working with your insurer
  • Key case law – learning from the Employment Tribunals


Participation in this event will help you to be more confident about these areas of HR in Primary Care

We are recording this session and it will be available here for 12 weeks after the event at a cost of £15 for members of Wessex LMCs and £30 for non members

Darren is an exceptionally effective senior executive with over 25 years in HR management, workplace investigations and senior leadership positions for the Ministry of Defence, large public bodies and private clients. He has successfully resolved workplace disputes, grievances and negotiated TUPE transfers.

Darren worked at Magistrate-level for the Ministry of Defence for over seven years, assessing and investigating complex HR and disciplinary cases and presiding over military Courts-Martial.

Darren has led a Ministerial Board of Inquiry, identifying the contributing factors of a complex workplace death that happened overseas.

All GPs and members of staff working within GP practices in the Wessex LMCs’ catchment area

This option is for everyone working in a Practice in the Wessex LMC catchment area that does not fit into one of the other options on offer.


Non Members

This is the cost if you are not working in a Practice in the Wessex LMCs catchment area. £50.00

Waiting List

Please be advised there are spaces available on this course unless it states otherwise. If a course is full you will be given the option to book on the waiting list. If you are on the waiting list and a place becomes available, you will be notified automatically you do NOT need to contact Wessex LMCs. 


All delegate fees are non-refundable, however, if it has been agreed that a refund is possible, it will be subject to an administration charge of £5 for fees of £100 or less, or £10 for fees more than £100.

In certain circumstances, we will share details of attendance or non-attendance with the person who booked and/or funded this course for the delegate.
