Ms Beverley Bostock

Bev has an enviable mix of theory and practice when it comes to her role as both health care professional and clinical lecturer. She is a nurse practitioner/ prescriber working in a rural practice in the Cotswolds, where she is the clinical lead for COPD, diabetes, atrial fibrillation, stroke, hypertension and smoking cessation. She is a visiting lecturer on the MSc in preventive cardiology at Imperial College London. Bev writes extensively for the nursing press and sits on several editorial boards. She has a keen interest in the patients' experience of health care and her dissertation for her MSc examined the concept of what patients themselves want from a consultation, comparing this to the way in which health care is currently delivered in general practice.
