Introduction

Get up to speed with common gastrointestinal conditions that patients may present with. The course covers a wide range of presentations, focusing on evidence-based assessment and management along with safe practice.

At the end of the session you will:

  • Be able to take a focused history
  • Have an awareness of common gastrointestinal conditions and their management
  • Know when to refer for specialist management

  • Red flag signs and symptoms
  • Criteria for referral to specialist care

Consultant in Clinical Skills and Simulation

Ann Sunderland, qualified as a registered nurse in 1986. After working in a hospital setting for two years, Ann moved into general practice and was one of the first nurse practitioners in the Yorkshire and Humber region. After moving to a hybrid clinical and managerial role within a local clinical commissioning group, Ann moved into full time academia in 2006. In 2011, she was instrumental in designing the clinical skills and simulation suite at Leeds Beckett University and developed a special interest in simulation based education.

Refunds

All delegate fees are non-refundable, however, if it has been agreed that a refund is possible, it will be subject to an administration charge of £5 for fees of £100 or less, or £10 for fees more than £100.
