This training will be run over Zoom. To participate you will need to install Zoom on your device, and ensure it is has a microphone, speaker, and camera. Please Note: Some trainers will no longer allow you to stay on the call if you do not have your camera operating.

Introduction 

This event will be relevant to all PMs, Deputy PMs and Business Manager in General Practice.  Matt Perkins, one of our PM Supporters will lead another of his webinars for all those involved in practice management finance. He will be supported by Sue Scott, another of our PM Supporters who also has a lot of experience in managing the finances of practices. As ever, the session will be practical, relevant and Matt’s guidance will be easy to implement.

Aims 

Keeping your practice financially healthy has rarely been so challenging. With the disappointing contract imposition, alongside the living wage increases and spiralling fixed / variable costs, having control of the practice finances is critical for survival. Whilst we cannot offer magic solutions, we can share and discuss the impact of 24/25 contract changes, ways to ensure you are aware of your practice’s financial position including maximising income and minimising expenses, and to ensure decisions are made for the right reasons to maintain a healthy financial position

Matt has been a Practice Manager for 16 years, coming from an unrelated business background. He does therefore remember what it is like to start in this role with no NHS experience, so is well placed to help any new PMs who might be in that position. If there is an area of his role he enjoys the most, it would be the opertational / financial side, but is happy to listen and help in any way he can.

Sue is a Practice Manager at the Whiteley Surgery in Fareham. Sue became a Practice Manager in 1998, firstly in London and then moving to Farnborough in Hampshire.

This option is for everyone working in a Practice in the Wessex LMC catchment area that does not fit into one of the other options on offer.

£20.00

Non Members

This is the cost if you are not working in a Practice in the Wessex LMCs catchment area. £40.00

Waiting List

Please be advised there are spaces available on this course unless it states otherwise. If a course is full you will be given the option to book on the waiting list. If you are on the waiting list and a place becomes available, you will be notified automatically you do NOT need to contact Wessex LMCs. 

Refunds

All delegate fees are non-refundable, however, if it has been agreed that a refund is possible, it will be subject to an administration charge of £5 for fees of £100 or less, or £10 for fees more than £100.

In certain circumstances, we will share details of attendance or non-attendance with the person who booked and/or funded this course for the delegate.
