The aim of this webinar is to raise awareness of some of the early symptoms of breast and bowel cancer. There will be a look at the red flags and a review of the tools to help consider a referral to investigate further.

A Focus on Urological Cancer
The aim of this recorded webinar is for delegates to feel confident in earlier diagnosis of prostate, bladder and renal cancer as well as understanding when to request a PSA test and how to interpret results.

FIT Testing demystified, Overview of the 2WW ”Rapid Investigation Service” & ”Cancer of Unknown Primary” Pathways
GP Dr Camilla Janssen talks to Richard Roope about FIT tests, their use in screening as well as for the symptomatic population. Also covered are the new colorectal referral pathways including recent changes, such as the FIT -ive referral route. Discussions include appropriateness of requesting and interpreting FIT tests in different clinical situations, i.e. with rectal bleeding, change in bowel habits, acute infection and when taking iron supplementation and the importance of safety netting.

The final part of the discussion covers the “Rapid Investigation Service” as well as the “Cancer of Unknown Primary” 2WW pathways. Awareness is raised regarding the high incidence of false -ive results with different tests and the importance of remembering this, when interpreting results in the clinical context

This conversation between Dr Richard Roope and Cancer Research UK facilitators Victoria Wright & Lucy Pickup discusses the importance of smoking cessation for patients, highlighting the inequality gap and the simple 30-second technique to effectively deliver ‘Very Brief Advice’ in a consultation.

Women’s Health – Bleeding on HRT, Postmenopausal Bleeding & Cancer Antigen
Many women are presenting to primary care with perimenopausal/postmenopausal bleeding. This is causing concern to patients and, primary and secondary care clinicians in terms of increasing referral rates and the impact this is having on fast track suspected cancer clinics.
This educational webinar will see Dr Virginia Quiney (Wessex Cancer Alliance GP) and, Dr Kathryn Armitage, (Dorset Primary Care Lead for Cancer), discuss assessing patients with PMB and bleeding on HRT in light of the BMS guidance and changes to referral pathways.
