We are looking for a GP to cover a salaried GP’s maternity leave starting from the week beginning 13th April – 25th September 2026.
Working days: Ideally Thursdays and Fridays.
The Practice
We are a thriving and popular GMS training practice in the centre of Salisbury, on the edge of the beautiful Elizabeth Gardens. Patient population of just over 13,000 with a range of backgrounds and ages.
Despite the advent of phone-triage based care, we continue to benefit from running personalised lists. We get to know our patients which helps reduce risk, develop personal relationships and increase job satisfaction.
Our team
We pride ourselves on delivering high quality, patient-centred care with a strong team-working ethos.
Friendly, innovative and supportive GP group of 5 partners, 7 salaried, 1 retainer and 1 GPST.
We enjoy meeting daily for a morning coffee to catch up and discuss cases. Regular educational meetings for shared learning.
Rather than duty doctor we have a “clinical sorter” who triages and deals with routine patient queries submitted via the online AccuRx system – training for this would be provided if not familiar.
We benefit from low numbers of home visits requests.
Experienced practice nursing team.
Whilst we are independent, we work closely with our neighbouring surgery as part of the local PCN to provide Extended Access and other schemes.
Through ARRS we have added a number of PCN staff, expanding our MDT:
– 2 Pharmacists
– Pharmacy Technician
– Health & Wellbeing coach, Social Prescriber
– Frailty Practitoner
We have a hardworking and responsive reception and administration team.
Our workflow uses TPP Systm One and is supported by:
– GP-list dedicated Personal Assistants
– Ardens clinical templates and referrals
– AccuRx triage
– Admin team members are increasingly supporting with document management to help ensure we only see what we need to see
