Cheviot Road and Shirley Avenue Surgery are seeking maternity GP cover from December 2025 until October 2026.

The position will be for 6 sessions per week at our Cheviot Road site and you will be responsible for a personal list of patients and the associated admin. We highly value continuity of care and our personal list model ensures we make every contact count.

Ideally we are looking for cover over the following days each week, but we have some flexibility.

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

Through ARRS we have added a number of additional staff to our dynamic workforce including

– Clinical Pharmacist

– Pharmacy Technician

– Health & Wellbeing coach

– Social prescribing team

And an Acute Visiting Team of ANP’s led by our PCN GP Clinical Leads.

We have a hardworking and responsive reception and administration team.

Our workflow uses EMIS and is supported by:

– Ardens clinical templates and referrals

– AccuRx & Docman

– Admin team members are increasingly supporting with document management to help ensure we only see what we need to see.

Key Skills and qualification

• Medical Degree & GMC Registration: Fully qualified GP with current GMC registration
• Experience: Previous experience as a GP, with the ability to manage a range of patient conditions and provide high-quality care
• IT Proficiency: Experience with clinical systems EMIS and Docman
