QOF - Quality and Outcomes Framework
This was a negotiated part of the 2004 nGMS contract and was designed to promote and reward high quality evidence based care.

- It has been shown to reduce inequalities in Health care
- It has demonstrated quality improvement in Primary Care
- There have been some Health gains demonstrated in e.g. the care of patients with diabetes
