We will try to keep this page up to date with the latest information.

Target groups are in the following order:

under 65s (six months upwards) at risk groups
pregnant women subject to licensing and advice about which trimester is best to administer
household contacts of immunocompromised individuals
over 65s

Frontline health and social staff are also entitled/encouraged to be vaccinated.

DNs will be vaccinating all housebound (whether they are on their caseload or not) . This will not be chargeable by the PCT according to central agreement.

The £5.25 per vaccine that GPs are being paid is for administering the vaccine programme without regard for who has actually given the vaccine (e.g. district nurse, practice or school health service).
