I qualified from Southampton in 2001 and started as a GP Partner in Shirley, Southampton in August 2005. In the four and a half years as a partner I was the PBC lead for the practice and became a GP trainer. I enjoyed the "politics" of getting involved in local healthcare through PBC but felt frustrated at not being able to devote more time to this because of other commitments. The opportunity to come and work at the Wessex LMC was an exciting challenge for me and I hope I can support General Practice through this role. I left my partnership to locum for the two days a week I am not at the LMC to gain more experience to general practice and to be able to put more into my LMC role. I have always been and remain passionate about General Practice and hope to bring something to the local team here. DW Feb 2010 | ||
