Dr Andrew Mostyn
I qualified in London in 1981 and after a short service commission as a Medical Officer in the Royal Navy I went into general practice in South East Hampshire. Apart from a two year working break in Canada in the late 1990s I have remained as a general practice partner and I currently work two days a week in a rapidly growing practice in the Fareham area.
Between 1998 and 2005 I was the medical adviser to first the South West Hampshire Health Authority and then Eastleigh and Test Valley South Primary Care Trust. During this time I was also the local medical director for two south coast out of hours services.
I joined the LMC as a medical director in 2005. With the rest of the office team I work with all of the Wessex PCTs and with practices and individual general practitioners on widely varying issues including contracts, performance procedures, enhanced services, disputes and commissioning (to name just a few).
